Siena, Tuscany
In Siena, the city is divided into seventeen contrade. Neighborhoods that have existed for over six hundred years. Each has a symbol, a color, a motto, and a fierce loyalty.
Twice a year, ten of them race horses around the Piazza del Campo in a contest called the Palio. The rest of the year, they live. They baptize their children in contrada fountains. They eat together. They remember.
Palio borrows from this tradition. Not to imitate it, but to honor the idea that small worlds, kept carefully, matter.

Palio is a brand built around the things we do beneath the sun. Quiet objects, made carefully, meant to stay on the counter and become part of how a day begins.
This summer, we are releasing something in honor of the race, and of the seventeen wards that keep it alive.
